#6 AWG Green THHN/THWN-2 Stranded Copper Grounding Wire — 20 ft — Pre-Stripped, Pre-Crimped One End

Short Description

Pre-cut 20 ft #6 AWG green stranded copper grounding conductor with one factory-crimped two-hole copper compression lug and one factory-stripped end, designed for telecom grounding, cabinet bonding, bus bar termination, and controlled field-side installation.

Product Overview

The SystemShield #6 AWG Grounding Wire Assembly is a pre-prepared grounding and bonding conductor built for longer routing paths where higher conductor mass, stronger grounding continuity, and cleaner field execution are required.

This assembly uses #6 AWG green THHN/THWN-2 stranded copper conductor cut to 20 feet. One end is terminated with a factory-crimped two-hole long barrel copper compression lug. The opposite end is factory-stripped so the installer can complete the final field-side termination based on the actual bonding point, equipment connection requirement, or site grounding layout.

This configuration is intended for applications where one end must arrive ready for secure two-hole lug attachment while the opposite end remains open for field-determined termination. It is well suited for telecom grounding bars, larger bonding runs, cabinet infrastructure, backboards, rack systems, and similar grounding or bonding installations where consistency and reduced field preparation matter.

Key Features

  • Pre-cut 20 ft assembly length for longer routing paths
  • #6 AWG stranded copper conductor for higher-capacity grounding and bonding applications
  • Green THHN/THWN-2 insulation for grounding identification
  • One factory-crimped two-hole copper compression lug
  • One factory-stripped end for controlled field termination
  • Two-hole long barrel lug format for stable mounting
  • Helps reduce cutting, stripping, and primary crimp preparation in the field
  • Suitable for telecom, rack, cabinet, enclosure, grounding bar, and equipment bonding applications

  • (1) Factory-crimped #6 AWG two-hole long barrel copper compression lug
  • (1) Factory-stripped opposite end for field termination

Typical Applications

  • Telecom rack grounding
  • Cabinet and enclosure bonding
  • Grounding bar terminations
  • Equipment frame and chassis bonding
  • Longer supplemental grounding conductor runs
  • Bonding paths that require a larger conductor and one open field-termination end

Compatibility

  • Grounding bars and terminal bars that accept a two-hole lug with 3/8 in holes and 1 in spacing
  • Equipment bonding points designed for two-hole compression lug attachment
  • Field-installed terminations intended for #6 AWG stranded copper conductors
  • 12-Position Brass Grounding Bar on Insulated Base
  • SystemShield Grounding Kit (Standard), where this wire assembly is used as a primary included conductor

Installation Notes

  1. Secure the lugged end to the designated grounding bar, bonding surface, or equipment termination point using compatible mounting hardware and proper tightening practice for the installation.
  2. Terminate the stripped end only with a connector, lug, terminal, or bonding method appropriate for #6 AWG stranded copper conductors and the actual site equipment geometry.
  3. Verify conductor routing, bend radius management, mounting-hole match, final termination suitability, and applicable code and equipment requirements before installation.

Compliance & Regulatory Information

Components used in this assembly may be UL listed or UL recognized where applicable.

This product should be installed as part of a properly designed grounding or bonding system in accordance with applicable NEC requirements, equipment manufacturer instructions, project grounding specifications, and site bonding and installation standards.

Packaging & Handling

  • Protect against insulation abrasion
  • Protect against conductor deformation
  • Protect against lug damage
  • Protect against contamination of contact surfaces

Store in a clean, dry environment prior to installation. Avoid crushing, sharp kinks, or unnecessary stress on the conductor, installed lug, or stripped conductor end.

Notes / Limitations

This product is a prepared grounding conductor assembly, not a complete finished grounding system.

  • Final suitability depends on correct application
  • Proper hardware selection is still required
  • Proper field termination on the stripped end is still required
  • Proper installation practices are required
  • Overall grounding system design remains application-dependent
